Default Battery Drain

Hi

I bought a fuse tester thing recently as my battery appears to be getting drained rather quickly.

I noticed fuse number 12 does some funky stuff... Every 15-20 seconds there is a spike of 10amps then it goes to zero.

Is this normal ? I have removed the fuse for the moment. Will check the car in a couple of days to see if the battery gets drained.

I want to get this sorted before I look to selling the car.

Cheers

Sunil

Sunil,
Can't help you out with the reading you are getting on fuse 12. I was having a similiar issue 2 years ago and it turned out I just needed a new battery. When is the last time it was replaced?

12: 15A OBC, rear window wiper, warning flashers, clock

Sunil: Did you manage to fix the rear wiper problem?

Hi, nope. I did not, I was thinking of removing the rear wiper. However I'm guessing that it's not normal for the to be a spike in the current when the ignition is off.

Sunil,

I had a similar problem with my car where the battery was being drained in under 24 hours. The ignition switch was bad and wasn't turning off power to some of the accessories in my car.
