Default Wait before alignment?

Do I have to wait a bit before an alignment after installing new springs/shocks?

Some say wait a couple of weeks, others suggest just a short drive.

Any thoughts?

I've heard (and waited) about 300-500 miles to let the suspension settle, then got it aligned and have had no problems.

I think you need to drive a bit to let it settle. More than a day and a few miles. Some springs are better than others. Dunno about Bilstein, but H&R are supposedly better then Eibach in this regard.
