Default HELP!! RS Shifter install not right? Need advice

Well the RS shifter and the fork were installed along with the FisterD Golden rod and a new front shift rod. I know the RS Shifter is longer, but here is my issue. When we go to put the tunnel cover back on the RS Shifter is sitting about an inch lower than the stock shifter making it impossible to put the tunnel cover on. Basically the tunnel cover hits the bottom of the shifter and can't be bolted up. Also the boot that covers where the fork and rods meet is now too short and won't fit or seal. Does the RS have a different tunnel cover and boot? Was the install wrong? The car shifts fine. Any help is appreciated as the car needs to come off the lift I can go get pictures if that will help.

You must have fogotten to turn the 2 bushings (the ones that the greasy tube slides on ) 180 degree up, If my memory serves me correctly.

I'm late to the thread... and you got your answer. Glad you got it sorted out Mike!

I suspect I will be writing up a DIY with pix and such in the near future.
