Default PPI needed in Portland Oregon

Hello,

I need to get a PPI performed on a C4S I am considering purchasing in Portland Oregon.

Can anyone help me out with a good resource?

Cheers,

John

John,

Contact Stuttgart Autotech in Lake Oswego, OR for an excellent PPI.

Wow! That is exactly why I love this site. It is so refreshing to get quality feedback from other 993 enthusiasts.

I will contact them immediately and hopefully add another 993 to my stable.

Cheers & thanks again.

John:

Is it the red '96 or the red '98?

Hope it works out!

Paul.

I am looking at the Red 98. I am going to call to schedule the PPI in a few minutes. I must be crazy to get another, but they are like " M&Ms (and beer)".

Cheers

OK...a new but related topic.

Any recommendations on an inclosed insured transporter from Portland to Dallas?

Thanks for your input!

+ 1 for Stuttgart...and for Steve Weiner and Jeff Gamroth (who I don't think do PPIs, but I am sure could make the car faster before sending to Dallas). We truly are blessed with Porsche riches in this town.

I just love this place! I talked with Jeff at Stuttgart Autotech and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will talk to the seller and schedule the PPI. I opted to perform the leak down and compression tests to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the offer

I would love to fly up there with my 5 year old son and drive back. He and I would have a blast and the bonding time would be great (lifetime story). Unfortunately, a work project will interfere with allowing me time to take the trip.

FWIW, I was all set to use Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) to bring my new 993 from Houston TX to Oregon. I specifically requested that the car be hauled enclosed. Quote was $1,500. Only when I called to confirm did they admit that the last part of the trip would be on a flat bed- over a mountain pass, with sanding rock & mag chloride spraying all over! I then got a quote from Transport Services (TransportServicesOnline.com) and their quote was lower ($1,300) and quicker (a week vs. 3 weeks for DAS) plus it will be enclosed from door to door.

So your car is the one with the carbon fiber interior parts?

Good luck!

Paul.

The car I am looking to purchase does have the "Aluminum-Carbon accent kit" interior. Matches the carbon in my speed yellow C4S. I will post pics if I get the car.
