Help with identifying the battery vent hose
I had battery acid all over the wheel well since the battery vent wasn't connected to any drain. Made a bloody mess of the wheel well. I dug around the trunk and found a loose hose. Can someone please confirm if this is the vent tube for the battery? The picture is a shot of the left front side of the trunk. If it is, should there be another tube that runs down the wheel well to drain onto the road. Mine just vents into the space for the front headlight on the other side.
Thanks for your help.

That is the battery vent hose and, yes, it just vents into the wheel well. IMO, a pretty poor place to vent acid.
I re-routed the hose and vented it to one of the drain ports in the area under the spare tire. No real modification needed - the set-up that vents to the wheel wall will plug into the floor pan hole - just move the grommet or get a new one.

Thanks mike, your help is much appreciated. Good tip on draining the battery hose through the wheel well plugs. I might also look into connecting the brake reservoir vent hose to the battery vent since I converted the brake reservior cap to a vented cap and the brake reservoir hose is disconnected.
