This is the kind of listing I would get really excited about when shopping for my C2S. Then I'd call and it was always a tip. If it's not a tip, it sounds like a great deal if the rest of the car checks out.

It would be a pretty rare tip with a "new clutch".

Although it is a little odd to have a new clutch at 29K miles.

Didn't catch the clutch comment. I'd still be suprised if there isn't come kind of story behind this car, even with the current state of the economy. I'd call it a fire sale if it's a clean car with no major stories.

Why do people here refuse to accept reality? This is a decent (not spectacular) price for a good C2S today. We can argue all we want what the value will be in the future, but this is the value today.

See if it sells in two days, OK? If it does, it was price below market. If you strongly feel that it is a least $3-4K below market, flip it and make a quick 10% profit. Or point it to your favorite vulture (crossed out) dealer and ask for a finders fee.

Blasphemer! All other 993s may be worthless, but not the sacred wide fender and split grill styling package.

Didn't the split grille increased aerodynamic advantage to bring the top speed close to Mach2?

It's a great attitude. I think the same way about my posessions. And hope to continue to be able to think this way.

Well said!

Minimalistic description, a touch of arrogance, and no pictures. Good luck.

Maybe it is true about what they say about most Porsche owners, some of you are like insecure children, what you cant understand.......you have to be critical of.....The car is legitimate, but I have a life that includes other things then cars.....all e-mails will be answered. If you have anything to say to me do it in a PM. This is a CAR FOR SALE....NOTHING MORE..The price must scare those of you who paid too much for your cars. No arrogrance here just a straight unemotional sale.

I have to defend the poster here. It may or may not be a good price for this (awful) marketplace. In any event, he has priced it with the belief that someone will quickly come along, cut a check, and drive off with the car. Although he may be leaving a few grand on the table, not having to deal with people showing up at his house for test drives at best, tire kickers at worst, is probably worth it.

Time is our most valuable asset, and I usually price things a bit below market so I can quickly move on without having to worry about squeezing the last dollar out of a transaction.

Maybe the seller is a busy guy who just wants to move on. However, positing pics of the car will probably cut down on a bunch of people emailing just to see what the car looks like. In selling a car, there is no such thing as too much information.

Exactly the impression I got of this seller when I contacted him several months ago while shopping for a 993. Looks like nothing has changed...
