If the heat is on and I decide to use the defroster, the heat goes off. If I turn the defroster off, the heat does not return. the heat comes back on at some random point after much twiddling of ***** and buttons or maybe the next day at start up.

Could it be some mechanical hang with the flaps in the footwells? anybody else experience this?
