Default PSS10 Installation Cost

A P-car race shop near me is telling me the cost to install PSS10s on my 993 is between $2,500 and $3K. $2K- $2.2K for parts and 6 hours of labor ($95/hr). Does this sound right?

The labor time sounds about right.
Are they going to include the alignment in the six hours of labor?

Sounds too cheap. The PSS10's cost more than $2k and 6 hours is pretty good in my opinion. Are you sure these guys have done this before? I'm only assuming an alignment and corner balancing isn't included let alone new sway bars. I've just purchased PSS10's and started dismantling my suspension so my knowledge on the required labor is somewhat limited.

Just did this not too long ago. PSS10s were $2200, TRG sways, another $600 or so. The top alignment guy in Los Angeles charged me $650 for installation, alignment and corner balance.

I would think that sounded pretty good based on my small amount of research on RL. Please share the shop if you don't mind? PM if that is better. Thanks!

Darin at WestEnd? or Steve at Johnson's alignment?

The PSS10's are over a $100 cheaper than the best price I have found anywhere plus no shipping so that is a hot deal.

Thanks all. Sounds like my guy is in the ballpark. I didn't ask about alignment or sway bars, but now I will.
WillChao, PM sent.

Yeah, I'd budget like 8 hrs for install with sway bars and alignment. If you're not doing sways, maybe 6 to 7.

If you're doing remote reservoir shocks like I am right now, budget around 100 hrs. (I'm exaggerating... but just a little...)

You might as well throw a front strut tower brace on there while you are at it...it supposedly reduces understeer, but I changed too many things at one time to know for sure. I do know that I like my car a lot more now.

That is cheap if they do a good job.

Eric, what shocks are you doing?

I got them from Viper Bob over at Vortex Motorsports, a site sponsor. It might be worth a call to see if he's still selling them at that price....

The remote reservoirs weren't too bad imo it was that dang front sway bar
