OT About to buy a 944

Looks nice. Good luck. If you need any parts for her, keep me in mind as I have anything you need. Albert

Before you pull that trigger, take a look at todays online listings on Cars.com and Autotrader.com.
I look at these listings almost every day. And yes its an incurable obsession... http://www.cars.com/go/search/search...=&aff=national http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search..._type=yearDESC |
Just changed belts on my 968 yesterday. They are great cars and the cheapest Porsche to actually drive.
|
Did you get it?
S's are great cars. |
S is a really fun car to drive. Just beware that they have a ticking time bomb under the valve cover! Not just the belt, either.
|
Price sounds fairly high as 944s are pretty much at their lowest values right now. I'm by no means an expert on 944s and S is an unusual find, but still.
Whoever put those tires on that car... was not a particularly enthusiastic owner if you ask me. |

Replaced tensioner pads and inspected chain last summer ;) |
Yeah, I replaced my tensioner at 80K - real easy. Now I need service it again, I suppose (160K, runs like a top). I'll do the chain this time.
Price does seem a tad higher than I too would expect these days, but what the hay. |
