The thing is they removed it for server maintenance, e.g to reduce the server load. Now I for one have a list of things I am going to search for as soon as the search engine is running again which will mean that when it is up, it is going to be under a lot of stress. I don't think that was the initial plan.

IB has installed a new search engine. The old one is what was making the site so slow. Please report any incorrect or broken links on the Help and Test forum so they can be fixed. I'll take a broken search function over a crashed site anyday They are correcting issues as I write this, so please, report anything not working properly.
