Default gap between front bumper and hood (pic)

ive looked at other 993, most trunk lids are flush to the bumper, i did put on a front euro bumper but never noticed the gap, body shop said that as close they can get it. is this true or just lazy, can this be adjusted?

The picture is to up close to tell. Do you have one from further back?

There is usually a gap there and a rubber piece that should be visible as well. S

I just went to the garage and meassure mine. The gap is wider than the rest of the gaps of the car. Mine messured 1/4 of an inch with the rubber piece showing flush with the lid and the bumper. I think it is very noticeable on white cars.

I like your cab as well...

Here is a picture of my bumper gap as a reference. Not the best angle but I hope it helps.

Yes, the rubber piece is flush with the lid and the bumper.

Mayb e when they installed the bumper, they let the rubber piece recess too much?

There is a metal plate with 4 screws that hold this rubber piece to the bumper. if you losen these screws, you can adjust the height at which the rubber piece sits.

Adjust it so it is slightly above the surface of the bumper and the lid.

Maybe this is the gap you are seeing?

If you're using a point-and-shoot camera, try adjusting the close-up focus by pressing the "flower" icon on your camera. You should get sharper close-up images that will be more helpful for other Rennlisters.

How about photo from maybe 36"? Looks reasonable in the photos you have posted but maybe farther back it looks different.
