Default Boxster 3-spoke wheel?

All the 3-spoke steering wheel posts lately have me drooling. When I picked my car up from the top shop today, they were pulling a Boxster S in w/ a 3-spoke wheel that looked just like the 996 ones many of us are after.

So... did the Boxster come w/ the 3-spoke wheel too? If so, is it the same so it would also fit a 993?

Both probably stupid questions, but I only hear reference to the 996 3-spoke wheel.

Murf, the 3 spoke would look NICE in your car... Pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

You're saying that so I'll get the upgrades done you want, then you can steal the car out from under me with the prices depressed. I'm onto you!

I have been looking for a 3 spoke wheel too. You can look on this site : www.car-parts.com it will give you several yards that have them in stock.

Silver Star in CA sells them for $500 with airbag. Best price I found

I ended up buying mine from a fellow PCA member. It came from a 2001 Boxster S with the colored Porsche seal.

Link please. I googled Silver Star California and came up with a dealer??? A new airbag is $500+ without a steering wheel.

I got a quote from them almost a year ago and it was $500. last week I called again but they were out of stock although he did quote me $500 for a 3 spoke 996 steering wheel WITH bag in black. Said to call back since they will be receiving a couple 996 soon
