Default Tire Repair - Southern California

I've got a flat right rear tire on an 18 inch Technology wheel. It is in excellent condition with no nicks or scratches. I want it to be in the same condition after the tire is repaired. Does anyone have any solid recommendations for a quality shop that uses great care? Thanks for the help.

Tucker tire in Laguna Niguel.

Or find a shop with a Hunter GSP9700, www.gsp9700.com

The GSP 9700 is the most expensive tire balancer in the industry, so usually they are heavily invested in the tire business and take it seriously.

Are you going to patch from the inside? If you plug from the outside, you don't need to re-mount (or even take it off the car!) I have one of these kits:

Never done one on my Porsche, but it worked great on my other cars, never a leak. Technically could impact your wheel balance, but how much does 1/2" of a rubber fiber plug weigh?

Can't go wrong with Wheel Enhancement in Culver City. Not only are the very careful, but they even gave me the best price around for my two new Conti SportContact 2's...

I would not patch / repair a 911 tire for safety reasons.

Whenever someone on the forums mention tire repair, there are a few people who cry foul and claim that it is unsafe. I have never heard of a patch / plug failing at any speed. Do you know of any instances where a tire-repair has failed and caused a problem?

most excellent!
please continue to keep the tire companies in business.

me?
i will continue to evaluate each flat for possible repair on an individual basis.
I've had excellent results with a combo plug / patch installed from the inside on many repairs.
never seen one of these?
go talk to your tire installation shop.

cheers

Laguna Tire and Wheel (http://www.lagunatires.com/) has brnad new Hunter 9700 balancing equipment. They are also used to working on Porsches and other high-end cars. They've done a great job for me in the past.
