A year ago, I would have thought that was a decent price, but I'd have to agree. Then again, make him a reasonable offer if you're interested and see what happens.

It's an asking price. If it's really as good as he says, it may not be a bad starting point to talk.

Sadly, it is WAY overpriced. The market is incredibly soft right now. Looks like a beautiful car for $27-28K.

I disagree, IF it's in truly excellent condition. Geography also plays a role -- perhaps in Seattle it would only bring $27-28K even in great shape, but I don't think that's the top of the market in NY. I do think that if we wants more than that, he may have to be patient -- a quick sale is unlikely.
