The Dung Beetle continues its temporary assignment, located on jack stands. I'm taking care of numerous maintenance tidbits over the winter and am ready to remove the entire SAI system. The SAI port block-off plugs arrived the other day from Patrick Motorsports. ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
Once the airbox and heater blower motor are out, what specific items should I tackle in order to lift the intake manifold free? I'm aware of the intake runner 'boots', but am looking for potential hidden fasteners, etc.

Nothing major. You'll want to remove:
- the air mass meter
- the oil breather hoses behind the air mass meter
- unplug and label various wiring and vacuum connections (there aren't many on a 95)
- accelerator and cruise control cables
- the fuel vapor and brake booster lines
Let me know if you have any problems along the way.
Oh, and be glad you don't have a v-ram as that's much more difficult

jmarch hit on all the main items. Removal is the easy part. Make sure to label all the connectors and vacuum lines so the assembly goes smoothly. Great excuse to detail the engine compartment.

Furthermore, would it be feasible to remove just the right bank of the intake manifold? It seems that everything I'm after should be located there.

Seriously, removing the whole thing is really fast.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the plugs go on each side of the engine. It might be more challenging to get the SAI line off the driver's side with the intake in place.

You could also remove just the left & right banks of runners. That's what I did. Dunno if it was any easier than removing the entire thing, but I felt more comfortable leaving as much stuff in tact as possible since I'm such a klutz.
