FJ interior colour code??
I sold my 964 and right now I am looking at a 993 Polarsilver with blue interior.
Before booking tickets I need to understand how light/dark this interior actually is. I hate the really light blue, is "FJ" the light blue or somewhere in between dark and light? I had the darkblue in my previous 964.
Pictures often come out as lighter blue for some reason.
Can someone with the FJ interior code help me here and validate???
I have done some searches without success.
Thanks

This is a link to a site where you can see the Interior Colour Codes - http://www.993faq.com/?p=106.
FJ stands for Midnight Bleue, which is a dark blue. The interior colour codes can be found on the sticker under the hood at the front of the car. Rgds

I don't recall seeing any light blue Porsche interiors at all. The usual blue is the one mentioned by frf above. Which is a fairly dark blue, pretty common among 993s and probably very much like the darker blue you mentioned.

This is where I get confused. The above link provides no less than FOUR different colour codes for midnight blue? Are they all the same colour and only related to different trim such as full leather or two colour interiors (I've seen several cars with grey seats and door panels but blue dash and carpets)? As the OP previously had a 964 with a blue interior, any 964 I've seen with a blue interior was much darker (and IMO nicer) than that of the blue commonly found on our 993s. Did Porsche keep the colour name the same despite making an actual colour change when the 993 replaced the 964? Do the different colour codes mean different colour despite having the same colour "name?"

I am 90% sure I have FJ... at least I remember looking for FJ hardback seats when I first got the car (in other words don't book a flight on my word just yet). I'll have to drive out to my car to check but here's my interior (best shot I could find). Mines a 96 polar silver blue interior.

I have FJ which is Midnight Blue - the standard, darkish blue color available at that time for the 993. Porsche seems to have used the same shade of blue but with 4 codes depending on how the car was equipped - for example, I have seen a 993 with front&rear leather seats in Midnight Blue which had a different code than my car with leather front / vinyl back seats Midnight Blue.

FJ is Midnite Blue-Partial Leather, with Midnite spelled exactly that way on 993s.

I was looking for something and ended up on this thread. To pay it forward I figured Id clarify so when someone else ends up here, theyll reap the benefit.
Some of the confusion with Midnite Blue is Midnight Blue Metallic is an exterior color spelled differently (but offered on 993s nonetheless). I dont know why PCNA did it this way. My theory is Midnight was shortened to Midnite due to character spacing limitations on the stickers for the interior line item, depending on the trim of Midnight (partial leather, full leather, leather seats, etc).
Where things go positively bat-**** ape is when you talk similar year 928s (GTSs etc). Its Midnight for interior, but Midnite on the floor mats.
