Bobby- This location is much easier to access and protects the resistor from the elements much better than where I was planning. I really appreciate your time putting up the pics. Thank you sir!!

Dusting this oldie off the shelf.

Looking to replace my A/C condensor resistor. Does anyone have an update on the DIY design?

I did my oil and a/c fan resistors last weekend. I used the pcar workshop diy. Mounted the resistors back into the stock locations. You can do it through the inner fender without removing the front bumper. Good
luck on your diy!

Hey 911F1,
In retrospect, was the job a PITA without removing the front bumper?

The oil cooler fan resistor was really easy to remove and install. Make sure you have a ratcheting bit driver like the one pictured for the 5mm hex bolt. You'll need it for the tight space. The A/C condenser fan resistor was harder because the resistor is mounted toward the front of the car. If you loosen the condenser like it says in the PCar DIY. You can get a 1/4 inch drive socket in there to remove it. The A/C resistor is mounted different and instead of a 5mm hex bolt it has a 10 or 13mm nut on the bottom that you loosen. Putting it back is tough. But its doable with some patience

I believe you have it backwards, sir. The AC resistor is on driver side and it's the easier of the two. The oil cooler resistor on the passenger side is the one mounted further towards the front.
