SF East Bay 12-14-08 Drive - Lots of Pics
Even though it was cold, rainy, and SNOWY, I thoroughly enjoyed the drive. Mines Road was a bit rough with all the gravel in one stretch (claiming 3 windshields)...... After the snowy peak of Mt. Hamilton, we all tip toed back down and everyone emerged unscathed! Great drive guys!
Now I need to find a good shop to replace my cracked windshield Any suggestions?
Until next time!

Dang.
Great pics Mike, thanks!
I'd like to get higher res copies if you don't mind.
Glad I made it...
Kyle, hopefully you got down the mountain OK. We didn't see you on the way out so it must have ended well for you.
Nice to meet you all.
We need to do this again

The snowy pics were taken at the Mt. Hamilton Observatory. 4070 ft and 32ºF

It was nice meeting everyone; turnout was great and the driving very satisfying. Did you guys do Calaveras on the way back (I exited at Hostetter to run an errand)?

Yeah, I putted down the mountain once the snow started falling a little harder. Pilot cups + snow =

Glad to hear all is OK.
That whole part was somewhat surreal.

As for the windshield, I used Jim's Auto Glass on a suggestion by Walter Dawydiak (Cars Dawydiak). He's mobile and actually located in the East Bay. OEM Glass, the correct gaskets, antennae, no leaks! I don't have my records on me, but the number I found on the internet was: (415) 431-7204, just ask him if he knows Dawydiak, if yes, he's your guy.
