Randy,

That's totally awesome! Congratulations! She is living my dream! Going to the airforce academy has always been a life dream for me, unfortunately during the last year of my high school year I lost my 20/20 vision and airforce told me that I couldn't fly or even navigate a plane..... This was back in the 80s, different rules back then. I am sure with Lasik surgery that can be fixed now, but now I am too damn old and too out of shape to fly.

Congratulations, Randy. It'll always be a very special day for her (and your family).

I remember being in the pattern when I solo'ed a Grumman Traveller, looking down and thinking: there's only one guy in the world who can get me back down there safely, right now.

Thanks for the kind words everyone...it is a very special day for her and kind of a reward for all the hard work that has gone into getting to this point. She is on cloud 9 right now slowly getting back to the reality of starting aerobatics on Monday. Thanks again for letting me share.
