Dear RS heater tube, you almost gave me hypothermia last night...

Noah, your car looks great.....i have to say I was slightly shocked that you were using Speedline split rims in such conditions.....a braver man than I, any salty water gets under the lacquer will not be fun....maybe I am too paranoid?........
I have RS tube and a/c......never really had any heat problems other than too cold or too hot...pumps the heat if i turn up the temp dial.

ignore the extra vac can and this id an aftermarket carbon fiber tube
this is an oem RS tube, but on a non vram engine
Something is wrong w/ Noahs car/setup, I haven't done the electrical fixes to complement the engine fan removal but I still get plenty of heat. It has been miserable temperature wise around here but I've driven in much worse w/o a problem.

I have not had any issues with lack of heat, but I've never driven in temps lower than high 20 deg. I actually get too much heat at times. The Supercharger setup uses a similar heat bypass and I never had issues with that either. Noah, it seems something else is contributing to the lack of heat.

Bill, if you're cruising at 75 MPH on a cold day (below freezing), you get heat w/ the RS tube? I thought in such conditions it was normal not to...

yes, I've driven through snow storms at those temps, heat and defog worked fine(perfectly toasty in shirtsleeves. I just put the heat on the highest setting, I think that the electrical mods let you get heat at the lower settings too, but I haven't done that yet.

Forgive my ignorance but what is the purpose of this tube? Does it replace the whole fan thingamajig that keeps the exhaust fumes when you're in reverse module?

Is there another meaning to this word that we in NE should know?

And this was in the 993, not the C3? It's so strange, 'cause from all my reading, it seems that my problems are the norm -- that is, the fan in front won't come on high because the CCU isn't getting 12V from the rear blower.

The C3 heat is relatively terrible because of the headers

I love it when I see a 993 used hard....and a C2 in the snow no less ? Nice.
Think you were a bit ill prepared though... $5000 Speedlines on rubber with 15k ?....and it takes 10 mins to throw your heater blower assembly back in. Dumb like Donkey.... Tough like Bull ??
Glad you and the car are ok.
