Just my own opinion, you can disregard it completely if you wish.
The constant up and down of my stock spoiler drove me nuts. Additionally the RS spoiler(s) balance out the looks quite nicely. Functionally, I can go through the cloverleafs on my way to the office 4-5 mph faster which gets me there about 2seconds sooner. Time is money, right? I figure I'll recoup the expense back soon enough.

+1 on the "up and down" thing. That's the main reason why I installed the ducktail that preceded the RS wing.

Damn, all those splitter pics you guys have posted are going to cost me money! They really do complete the look.

And regarding the "no spoiler" comment, I actually also like the clean look of a 911/993 without one. I just couldn't deal with that annoying motorized wing going up and down constantly in ATL area traffic. My previous 911 (a G50 Carrera coupe) didn't have a tail and I liked it mucho better that way. If we all liked the same stuff, it would be a boring world, no?

BTW, I appreciate the comments...

Yes! Yes! Yes!

The RS wing looks perfect on a NB, could it be that it was designed for one?

I want one bad. Now if I can figure out how to get rid of the holes from the basket handle. New deck lid?

A good body man can weld up and metal finish the holes in the '95 lid. But you'll have to have the lid resprayed. Not a bad thing, since the wing will have to be painted to match as well.

Sometimes, people get bored of the standard look and want to have give it a different look.
In just a day or 2, you can turn a 993 like this GR one :

into this :

It's a project from some time ago, but I still like the result.

I don't really hear, see or feel the OEM spoiler extend and retract (and yes, it actually does, I've checked).

I don't know. It all seem a little ricey to me. Ferry designed a car where function was more important than anything else. Adding aerodynamic drag doesn't appear to be.. mmm... in tune with the car's soul.

Again, that's just my opinion. What do I know. I conciously drive on 17" wheels on the street and race on 13"s.

PS. I did buy the bling rings for the dash. I did nor install them, but i did buy them. So I live in my own glass house here

Jack, I was quoted $340.30 by Sunset for OEM splitters. I love your spoiler and plan to do this upgrade over the winter while my car is in storage. I already have the RS Speedlines.

My problem is what to do about the 3rd brake light, as my car is a cabriolet. I was thinking about hiding an array of LEDs in the grille. I don't want to hack up an RS spoiler just to embed a 3rd brake light into it.

I foolishly brought my car into downtown Boston yesterday for the first time, and scraped my front bumper on the road, so this is my excuse for getting the splitters, but I will have to avoid Boston from now on.

Put the duck back on. Now you are just like everyone else.

Seriously though you inspired me to duck mine. It's on the list. If only I could get some RSR Fuchs on my car I'd be in business.

LOL...my brother, who has my ex-'87 Carrera (now ducktailed) hates the RS wing.

It only takes a few minutes to swap lids back and forth. I like the duck too, but a RS wing is what I really wanted all along. I went with the duck because it was far less expensive at the time. It also came from a fellow Rennlister who had purchased it in a group buy but never installed it.

BTW, those dark gray MY02's look fantastic on your car!

If I get to keep my car, I'm doing the RS tail and taking the basket handle off... love it!
