sigh....I still dream (and drool) for Arena Red....

NICE to see the roof rack and talk of Blizzaks... After having visiting the high Alps in Austria, where the first 356s were built and tested (link), I think that such winter usage would make the Professor proud!

The car actually has a full Thule box as well. I know having the bike rack and the box on top of a Porsche is 'horrible' but it does make the car more useful in inclement weather.
As for the ride height, as much as I want to lower the car, I am going to wait until after winter as I will be testing out the car in the high mountains here in Colorado when going up to Vail. Having the car at it standard height will be a plus on winter roads. Not all of us live in Florida!

The Blizzaks are more than sufficient in the snow we tend to get down here in Boulder and the surrounding mountains. When the snow gets too deep I will drive the Audi S4 Avant, but I am going to report on how well the C4S does in the snow throughout the winter. I have high expectations.

Ahhh....reminds me of taking out my '76 914 in the snow to do donuts...err, practice skid control, in the nearby cul-de-sac. It did teach me a bit about car control!

You might see how much you drive her in the snow and then decide ride height (sounds like your plan). Mines WAY too low for snow. I don't think I could get chains on the tires or even those thin cable-chains w/o hitting fenders....

Welcome to the mayhem, money sink and fun!

This should be a good test this winter with the snow setup. I did get a set of 'sport chains' with the car but I dont think I would ever put them on. They were required to be in the car to go over Donner Pass I guess so they came with the car.
I will change out the suspension in the spring I suspect but for this winter, I will leave it as is. I want to put a little more throaty exhaust on the car and then I think I will leave it all as is, but you never know

I agree that having the car go for its services are Andial was a big plus. I got all the records for the car as well as the go ahead from Andial. Sounded like the car was well cared for.
