Default body shop - menlo park area

Someone I work with is turning in her BMW as the lease is expiring. She needs to get a little body work done before she does so. Best quality is not needed, but she doesn't want to get ripped off either.

Please recommend some decent shops where she can get the work done with confidence.

Thanks!

Hal,

I have used Active Auto Body for a while now. They are in Sunnyvale (408-734-2400) and not Menlo Park.

Sean is the owner. Very honest and knows what he is doing. If your friend decides to try him out, she can use me as a reference.

No affliation yadda yadda yadda.

Goold luck.

United Auto Collision in Burlingame is a block from CalTrain, and they do nice work at reasonable price.

I've turned in leased BMW's before with various dents, dings and scratches and have never been charged for it. I think BMW does not penalize dings and scratches less than two inches in size. For dents 2-4 inches in size/diameter I think the charge used to be $100 or so. Then there's a cap for dents even larger than that. In other words, she may want to wait for her lease turn in package to arrive to get the details before dropping $$$ at a body shop.

Isn't Carlsen-Matthews a reputable bodyshop down there? I think that's where most the dealers send their cars to...
