Question 98 993 C2S maintenance

Hello everybody,

I have a 1998 993 C2S (6 speed) with 57K miles.

Is there any log/record out there that covers a pretty complete maintenance needed for 993? or even better for 98 993 C2S specifically?

Thanks

Scott

I know this may seem like the obvious but have you checked in the glove compartment to read the list in your maintenance book?

Might add an Owner's Manual to your Sunset order. The book is surpisingly valueable. Maybe check Google and Ebay first. Any from 96 - 98 should work for you.

Also, a seach here for "60K service" should bring up a list for you. I think someone maybe even scanned the relevant owner's manual pages. Some "definites" are oil and filters, brake fluid, probably tranny fluid, maybe pollen and engine air filters?

Definitely call Sunset, but don't be surprised if they are all out & don't expect any new Owner's Manuals in, soon. I got mine off of eBay, but even finding them there is more difficult. You should pick up a copy of Adrian Streather's book, "The Essential 993", or something like that. Lots of information.

Although, you could just go here: http://www.pcarworkshop.com/index.ph...1994_-_1998%29 and find all your answers...

I think there is a link to owners' manuals at www.coochas.com.

If the car is new to you, it's best to have all of the fluids replaced so you know they're all fresh.
