Default Starter Ring Ger Removal

Trying to get the strater ring gear out of the OEM dual mass flywheel. Is there a trick? I have pried opposite sides to no avail.

Well.....it loosk like the ring gear is different for the RS flywheel. Can anyone confirm that and provide a part#?

Yes, it is different, but I am away from my resources for part numbers. I'll be home this Friday with any luck.

Now why would you need an RS starter ring gear? Your 993 seems to start on the first try everytime.
