I have found the balance to be good not great.
Would the difference in balance be noticeable on the street? I certainly don't want to degrade the stock performance...

IMHO painting your little blacks red is for posers. If you want to repaint them go for something cool, like bright blue, orange, or a violent purple.
You convinced me. If you can really get all 4 calipers and rotors for 1800 bucks at Sunset, then I'd probably do that. I spent 1800 bucks on a VW kit for my Bug, which included the FRONT brakes only (Big Red calipers and rotors)!

On the street I cannot feel the difference. It is rare that you ever get to a point of threashold breaking on the street.....

You're not going to feel a difference of +/- 2% in bias on the street OR the track. 10% perhaps, 2% no way.

What you do feel is the difference in bite... I want to change mine in the the 964. Tested a friends 964 with a big red front install and it was a significant difference.

Hmmm... This is very tempting.
Yes, If you just do the fronts then you have what the 964RS & 964 Cup cars have. It's very doable
but....
the beauty of the 993RS/tt setup is that it takes a lot of the stress off the fronts. For street use das macht nichts, but for track use it is big

I see a few of the sales threads on these used items and can't figured out why people would pay more for used when they can get them new for less..
The rotr price sound about right though low
but the caliper price seems unusually low
did you use these part #s?
calipers
993tt front 993.351.425.10 /L 993.351.426.10 /R
993RS rear 993.352.425.80 /L 993.352.426.80 /R

Thanks for the insight Bill! I'm interested in hearing the clarified caliper pricing as well.
