Al-

The tow hook is from Rennline also. They come in red, but I got a can of Riviera Blue made up at Paintscratch.com and sprayed the F/R ones to match.

How did you change your screen name Al?

Great. Red will work for me. Thanks

CWay-

Nice catch....but the switch is there just to cover the hole. There is absolutely nothing in the doors - the wiring harness to the window regulator and pwr mirrors is gone.

Dave-

Maybe one day - I dont get to the track in the summer, so no use for a cool suit install as of yet.

Thanks for the added cage photos. Looks like a fantastic install. My cage is going in this week and I'm working through some variables. Given that you removed the window mechanism, did you consider going with Nascar-style intrusion side bars rather than the x-bars? I'm struggling with that decision myself, but leaning toward the Nascar side bars.

Lastly, I have an email into Donna Amico to see if the Rennline dash cover is allowed for stock classes. Removing the lower dash portion appears to be allowed to get the knee bar installed... however, I'm not sure if replacing that center dash portion will be allowed. Maybe Mark in Baltimore or any of the other racers can chime in on this.

So Rob, we need to know the
wheels specs - ET & width
tire specs -
height at the fenders

Once again, just about perfect!

Rob, I love the hood with the RSR "locks" on top on each side. I recall you had some fitment issues with the hood? Did you still use it in the end or did you go back to the original hood? Maybe I have you confused with someone else..?

How much $$ was the hood (RSR style) and where did you buy it? Is it CF??

I did not consider NASCAR bars because I was was going for an authentic 993 Cup look. My car, as it sits, is set up for NASA so the PCA details I don't have to concern myself with, thankfully, at this point. Its all about HP/WT ratio in NASA.

The hood pins you see in the pics are the same hood pins from the 993 Cup Car from Porsche Motorsports. The hood is CF, but the Steel hood will be going back on this weekend. The CF hoods run about $700 from Gettydesign if I recall correctly.

Bob:

Did you gusset the cage to the A and/or B pillars (looks kind of like you did in the photos) or to the roof? Also wondering why you chose one rear diagonal from the main hoop rather than x configuration (do you think that is overkill?) and why you chose to not put a diagonal over the driver's head. I'm in the middle of my cage install and have been working through a lot of tough choices.
