I have a Rennline, has pre-tension adjustment as well. Beautifully made as well. Local too! Well, for me at least. The guy/company that makes them is an active PCA racer and extremely knowledgable about our cars, good guy too.

Hm... Glen, does the RD one have oversized or slotted holes? I almost bought that one.

Nope, holes are designed to be an exact fit. In order to install it, I had to jack the front of the car up to unload the suspension. Since installing, I've noticed reduced windshield squeak.

i thought about what you guys said and also browsed some old threads.

i'm clarifying with Sol about the installation issues Andreas raised, if that's cleared i'll be getting the perfect power.

The issues have been resolved - I've seen a new one in person.

What he said. This is like debating which brand of cinder block to buy. There's no effective difference between any of them.

i finally installed the Rennline.
Got the car back last Saturday.
I was surprised at the difference it made - steering feels tighter.
but unlike Glen, my windshield squeaks didn't disappear.

It didn't make any difference, unless you're a very experienced racing driver and you've had your car on the track post-install. The tightness you felt is the placebo effect.

I have the Steve Wong brace. Very well made. Back when I had carpets, I pulled the front carpet over the brace and it looked fine. However, I was not able to secure the aft-most snaps on the carpet.
