Default Opinions on Wheel color for a Polar Silver 993

I recently bought a used set of 996 TT Hollows and they are in need of painting and a bit of refinishing. If I change the color what do you all think would be a good with on a wide body Polar Silver 993 ?

TIA

Jason

If you want to go conservative, go original wheel color or color match to the body. If you want mild agressive, go gun metal. If you watn to go more agressive, go gloss black (or flat for that racing look).

If you want to go wild and possibly make some hate your car and others love it, get a blue "carrera" decal for the sides/doors and color match the wheels to your decal. Could also be done with a dark silver/grey decal for a more subtle look.

Just my thoughts when considering going down the same road. (but mine is narrow body with RS body kit)

1= Turbo S wheel finish
2= Stock
3= Body color

almost anything else

1X10^23 = black

have fun

seeing your off-the-transporter photo reminded me of a sad story i was told by a body guy yesterday.

"Supposedly"
one of his regular customers and a P car colector bought a sweet low miles 993 C4S fron CT. As it was transported, the car above it in the truck leaked brake fluid all over the deck lids and hood.

Sad if true

be safe

enjoy

You can try black center with silver or polished lip. Im debating if I want to switch my twist from my 944 to the 993.

Which is why I always specify/pay for top/front load on enclosed transporter
Loaded once, on top, in front, not moved until it arrives to me.

I'm grappling with the same question - I find the contrast between the Polar Silver body and basic silver Turbo twist wheels to be too little. I may consider the Turbo S bright silver, but somehow its formulation appears to be top secret...

I prefer the contrasting combination of black and silver, or silver and black in your case. That's why both sets of my wheels are silver. I'd do black on your car.

Does it differ greatly from the standard silver of our factory wheels?

I've got some paint remover - can you come down this weekend?

Ask yourself, how picky am I on having clean wheels? The shinier they are, the more often they will need to be cleaned. I have wondered about the Diamond Silver before. It's like the stock wheel with a little brake dust, only shiny. In the end, it's what makes the car for you. Good luck.
