Funny thing to brag about - busting some poor business guy trying to make a buck doing repro window stickers for fifty year old cars - like anyone cares that an old POS 442 has some dummy documentation. I'd think the least of an owners worries would be a window sticker - there are like two old 442's on the planet that are actually correct and unmolested. Also wondering who foots the bill for the forensic testing of the ink? Kinda thinking it's the taxpayer......

You really are a piece of work.

+1 for Stuttgart Studios!
As an aside, I can understand the rationale for concern about documentation for '60 and '70 Muscle Cars. The "swamp" has a lot of unscrupulous individuals who can create a high dollar vehicle out of a POS. Fake substantiating paperwork like build sheets and window stickers adds to the confusion of unsuspecting buyers. In the case noted above, the Olds 442 might not be but, if someone had a window sticker for that VIN showing it to be a 442, it would make a sale to someone a lot easier. We, in the Porsche community, have it a lot easier. Still, it's always wise to "Caveat Emptor".

Gee, I don't know Mike:
1970 442 Could Sell For $210k
4-4-2 Sports Coupe sells for $100,000
In the eye of the beholder kind' a thing, I guess,

My post was less about the least desirable muscle car ever made - the Olds 442 - then it was about another one of the inane and annoying posts by Twilight. If Ray Calvo (RIP) was still around the term “numb nuts” would have already been applied to him.

As as far as someone tearing up a quarter of a million dollars for a 442 - let me know when that happens and I’ll believe pigs can fly.

Gosh Andy, I thought calling an attorney a "numb nuts" would be considered a compliment! But I do thank you for your 24/7 monitoring of the 993 board and your knowledge of the by laws. Thought provoking.

If someone wants a reproduction window sticker, great, and good that the service is available. I think what twilight was saying was that unscrupulous people were passing off reproductions as fakes on 442. I don’t see that as attacking a small business. And, for example, a 1970 W30 442 or hurst olds is quite collectible. I’d have a w31.
