Stage II is: Stage I (2" external bypass pipe), plus the cans are cut apart and modified internally as well. This gives it more volume and a more aggressive tone, plus takes off a couple of pounds.

I wasnt sure about the stage 1 or stage 2, thought the stage 2 might be too loud for my quiet neighborhood, but am glad I went with the 2, its not loud at idle it just has a nice growl, then when you punch it its amazing. But just cruising around town or on the freeway there is no droning.

OT but are those 19" Techarts? What offsets and tire sizes are you running?

Swing2 or Darin...at one point in the RPM band does Stage II become too loud if you were packing a wife & kid around in a cab?

JPS: I have a Cab and just installed Stage II. To my ears, Stage II is not too loud, even under hard accel and even while redlining. In fact, I find the Stage II quieter at idle and at cruising speed than the Fabspeed MaxFlows and certainly the SuperCups but better than both when you want. I hope this helps.

Thx...I guess I was thinking more vs. stock, which mine are now. Fab & Super would be too loud for my taste / usage, so I guess I'm trying to figure out b/w 1 & 2, and at what point stage 2 would be "too loud"...

i have stage I on my cab and it's not too loud. I did have someone riding with me on the freeway for the first time this morning and it was loud enough we had to talk quite loudly to hear each other. The sound is heavenly though.

If I were you, I'd go stage II... give it a shot and worst case, I suspect you can sell or swap them w/ someone on here. Heck... i'll swap with you if you end up thinking they're too loud!
