I just bought a stainless Daytona (2006 model)..brand new, never worn and paid much more than the price you mentioned....So..with that being said..you'll probably never go wrong with that watch. It's like having cash in the bank...almost better than a CD or savings account..plus, you get to enjoy it.

Go for it!!

Mike: Cool info. I think I've seen the book but I'd like to check it out next time I'm around.

Couldn't agree more with Colin. I wear my watch every day. I have other watches but they sadly never see the light of day. My watch weighs all of 1lb so any other watch feels like I'm naked.

My first watch was a 1045 "TV" Speedmaster (never sold in NA) given to me by my dad when I graduated from high school. He bought it new in '74. My current watch is a 125 (125th anniversary circa '73, only 2k made) was purchased to replace my 1045 when I gave it to my brother after he graduated from school.

couldn't resist...
My Ruf garage is undergoing some changes right now: i have just sold my Rt12
and am waiting very unpatiantly for my ctr3 to be completed (maybe another couple of weeks) and also having a few mods done to a ctr prior to shipping it to me,so hopefully i'll have the complete ctr line:ctr,ctr2 and ctr3 soon

Good on ya, Nicu! Is this the "new" CTR3 you told me about? Not the "old" one I got a ride in at the 2007 FOS?

+1 on pix, when available.

yes,it's the production version which is quite different to the prototype that was in 07 and this year's Goodwood fos.
My car is the first produced (VIN 001) hence i am a bit restricted to show photos of it as Ruf has not shown it yet, but belive me,quite spectacular...

Wow! Very impressive. I can't wait to see it, please post ASAP.

Actually, my stainless steel Daytona went as part of the down payment for my RUF!
