Lightbulb UPDATE Concrete wall (1) and '98 993 cab (0)

My wife nailed a concrete wall today but fortunately at very low speed. Long story (of the "road to hell is paved with good intentions" variety with 1st & R mixed in too), she feels terrible about it, she can ride a K75 and if we added up her vehicular incidents since we're married I think she's now an "ace" (even had two kills in one day ).

Damage doesn't seem too bad (one bumperette gallantly threw itself between the car & wall) but I think the bumper is history... So I'll be making a few phone calls and trying to figure out how to restore "1948-98" back to its former glory.

I sense the general opinion from other posts is Euro (Sunset in Beaverton?), but I like the idea of keeping the car 100% stock (bumperettes look so much nicer at SUV altitudes). This is just a low miles cab that's never tracked & never driven in rain. Thoughts?

As for the wife... well, she didn't try to hide or delay the news when it happened, and that's something. I have to also say that she push started my 914-6 several times during a long road trip, she can ride a K-75, and she's taller than average, so I think I hit the jackpot on my first try. Is that or ??!! (No answers needed but I'm guessing some will be supplied anyway)

If you want to keep the bumperettes then what about U.S. spec turbo bumper?

Euro... bumperett delete, also consider doing the same for the rear. You needed some new paint anyway

If you don't plan on going down the slippery slope and want to keep your car Virgin as possible. Go with the Stock bumper. Just my .02

I don't think he is planning on spending that much. A new bumper is way cheaper. Go stock.

Thumbs up Update on concrete wall vs. 993

It's just me, but the bumperettes (unmodified) are one of the reasons I'm keeping my wife.
