Default Revised with pic :Help identify the springs on my car

Hello,

I am planning to do a suspension upgrade but i am not sure if the springs need replacing. My car is lowered and my mechanic thinks it's possible that it has the factory M030 springs (the shocks are Munroes). If this is the case I would just want to replace the shocks to Bilsteins HD.

If possible, please help idenfy the spring in attached picture.

Thanks,
Khang

It's hard to tell by just looking at those pictures. Tell your mechanic to clean the springs and look for color bars painted on the coils. The color combination of the bars will tell you if they are M030.

From robin's site...
Factory shocks part numbers:
M030 ROW front: 993.343.041/042.35 (yellow color)
M030 ROW rear: 993.333.051/052.35 (red color - yellow dot)
M030 USA front: 993.343.041/042.35 (yellow color) this is same as ROW
M030 USA rear: 993.333.051/052.36 (red color - green dot)

Factory springs part numbers:
M030 ROW front: 965.343.531.01 (orange/green dots)
M030 ROW rear: 993.333.531.11 (brown dots)
M030 USA front: 964.343.531.12 (orange dots)
M030 USA rear: 993.333.531.13 (light blue dots)\

Edit...after closer examination, I see that picture #5 shows orange/green dots for the front springs, which means that the car is fitted with M030 ROW springs.

Awesome find! M030 springs with Bilsteins HD make a great combo.

I'm thinking about replacing the original control arm bushings with the Chris Walrod bushings while the car is apart.
