Dual shock mount for engine deck lid
Hi
Somewhere on this site, i saw a photo of a home made arrangement to mount 2 gas struts on one side of the engine deck lid.
I'm adding a different (heavier) wing to the lid and would like to try using 3 struts. 2 on one side, 1 on the other.
a search revealed this post
The easiest/cheapest way (other than a broomstick of proper length) is to use a special bracket and have 2 shocks using the stock single shock mount.
I am not sure where his $75 figure comes from, Pelican lists the rear deck shocks for $12, and the dual shock mounting kit for $9.75.
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...pg6.htm#item26
unfortunately i don't see the mount anywhere on Pelican.
Have any of you seen the photo i'm talking about or do you know of any "dual shock" mount?
cheers
Craig
