Default Centre (third) brake light

Ok Guys,

Is the only place to get the light bulbs for the Centre (third) brake light at the Porsche stealership?
I have about half a dozen or so out out of the 24 that are on the strip.
Is it recommended to replace all?

Thanks.

Hey Hans
I have a couple extra third brake lights bars I do not know if they are the same for the coupe . One light bar comes from the basket handle set up and the other was from my gembella wing .

Cheers guy

There is an option Guy! I could just go the cheap route and desolder the bulbs.
They are of course the incandescent bulbs and only last so long.

LED's upgrade are another option and has been talked about on the site.

Just came across these interesting LED light bars and wonder if they would work with some modifications.

replaced a few in my basket handle light bar with ease (and I'm by no means mechanically inclined). I got them from sunset as nobody local seemed to have them.

on a side note, does anyone have a part number for the light bulbs in the tach?

Isn't the tach the same bulb as is in the head light switch for back lighting? If so you can go to NAPA and ask for the instrument light bulb. Make sure you get the one for European cars. The info I have lists 2 numbers # 964.641.020.00 - .9 watts or 993.631.027.90 - 1.5 watts.

Hmm, I'll check into it, thanks!
