Default OT: looking to buy BMW 5 series....need advice

I am looking for a 2006'07 525XI or 530xi. Needs to be AWD. Does anyone have any leads. preferably in the North Eastern USA.

from what I se on fleabay, they seem to be selling around the 30K mark.

Whats a good site to search for some?

Also, does anyone have one that can gove me some feedback?

thanks,
sam

As an X3 owner I would recommend making sure the tranny is not the same as I have been led to believe that they may be. Drive the vehicle first and make sure the shifting and throttle response is smooth like it should be. It might be a good idea to check the Bimmerfest website too and do some research. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/

Try the dealers, you can get 0% or 2.9% financing, 100K warrenty and 100K service . Exacally 1 year ago I got an 04 545 with 30K miles with all of the above for $35K. I would guess a year later and the crappy economy could get you an even better deal. Try Ottos in PA.

I hope that's pre-iDrive!

If you want the iDrive, I'm sure my fiancee would be more than happy to sell you hers!

I dont really care about the i-drive system. I am more interested in the AWD system. Any feedback on that? Our Montreal winters are HELL, but a cold hell

My co-workers both have 530i(not X) and though its nice feel interior, looks little bland for my taste.
Oh yeah! MPG & i-Drive sucks!!!

I was so happy when I got rid of my BMW 01 328. Once warranty expired it started to fall apart. Never another beemer. Same goes for Audi too.

Not had good luck with my last couple of beemers. Would think very long and hard before I bought another.
