The DIY does not address the master cylinder. At 50,000 miles my master cylinder had a rip in the rubber boot and the end of the rod was worn into a oval shape.

Also, from what I've read here you can't change your brake fluid too often and in clamping off you risk getting some air into your brake lines.

John i had the same problem and i replaced the slave and the hydraulic line which was totally rotted, problem solved.

Hi John, sounds familiar. Does it come all the way out some of the time and also if you tap it on the side? My shop replaced the hydralic line and it was a miracle. Good luck. Tom 993 C4
