I use Eurosport in Bensenville, and have been very happy with them.

I know the area, but I've never heard of them. I doubt they'd know a lot about 993's. There's a place on Lake Street downtown if you need something in the city. Sorry I forget the name. There's also VFC Engineering up on Ravenswood (?) in Wrigleyville / Lakeview. He has p-car experience.

I've used them for some repairs in the past. The owner is very picky and critical and will certainly do a thorough job. Don't expect him to say nice things about the car you have fallen in love with unless it is perfect! The place on Lake Street is Midwestperformance cars. They have a nice shop and deal primarily with p-cars. Tom, the owner, is very knowledgeable.
