FS: Recaro A8 Seats

Having left the 993 fold, I have 2 classic Recaro A8 seats that I don't need. These are period sport seats with black leather, great supportive bolsters, and hardbacks in plastic which tilt, allowing access to your rear area. They are in great but not perfect shape. There is a bit of creasing in the leather, but no tears or separations, and the leather is soft. The hard plastic backs are dark green metallic with the A8 logo, and have some scratches and scuffs, but still very presentable. They can be painted to match exterior color. As I recall, one of the tilt back mechanisms needs attention and one or two ***** are missing (but very easily replaced, I'm told). Again, not perfect, but all the important stuff is really nice. No sliders.
$2450 obo plus shipping from 87501 (2 mid-size garment boxes, I am told, will do the trick...guessing $250 in the US).

oohhh....so tempting...esp since I now have a daughter and at some point will need seats that fold forward. Hmmm....if I sell my CF GT3 seats and buy these, I would even have some mod money left over!

Mine are firm but not too stiff. I have a wide back and do not feel cramped at all, taller drivers should be fine. Certainly not like Porsche Sport Adaptive seats I had in my 07 997S, those were aweful

Holy crap, that's a good find!!! They don't come up that often, and when they do, get snatched up pretty quicky. I had to look for about 6 months before I found 2 acceptable donors to restore.
They look like they might be series 1 seats. What's the condition of the bolsters on the seatbottoms?
Reddy, FWIW... I have series 2 seats, which have the same bottoms as SRDs. I'm a 34/36 waist and a 42 jacket size. The seatbacks fit me perfectly, and the bottoms do to. When I first put them in, they felt super snug, but I got used to them really quickly and I love them now.

I am 6'4" with a 36" waist, 36" inseam, 46L jacket and want to make sure I fit. Also, I want them to be pretty stiff, as I have stiff suspension. The PO thought that too much cushion didn't work very well with the H&R suspension, and I've bought into that approach. Unfortunately, my rear doesn't fit the Sparco Roadsters (my current seats) very well.

David-email me and I can send photos of the backs...they're too large to post. The condition of the seat bolsters and bottoms is surprisingly very good, but i can't say excellent. There are the typical hairline creases, but no cracks, punctures, rips, or separation. i am 6'5" and 220# and when in sit in the seats out of the car), they fit fine at the tush and shoulders.
The PO had them in a low mileage Ruf turbo.
BTW, I forgot to mention that I also have the Schroth (sp) harnesses that came with the seats...the buyer gets those, too!

If I hadn't been spending money like mad on our new house and didn't have a vacant rental house right now, I would jump on these ! 3 hours and counting. . . I can't believe they are still around !
