Stereo for sale... have LPMM... no longer needed.
Darin has been awesome to work with on this... very patient as I had other issues to deal with trying to get the cores back to him. Nevertheless, I finally got the LPMMs installed this evening and...

I told Darin, when I went out for a quick run after the install, I kept finding myself slowing down just so I could hear her as she screamed back up through the RPMs again. 4500+ is just incredible!
Thank you Darin!!!!!

interesting!
can you describe the before and after experience about the "sound"
I am sure it is exciting at high revs during sport driving.
but when cruising under 2.5k rev, will it be too loud?
my concern is I put my baby seat at the back.....

There are youtube clips w/ before/after sounds... it's hard to guage what the end sound will really be in person from those, but the difference represented in them is representative.
I'm not sure my wife would have even noticed the difference really.... Then again, she didn't notice when the muffler came off her VW Rabbit and it sounded like a 68 Beetle so that may not be very telling.

thanks!
I have viewed the clips about the sounds.
but most of them are from "outside"
there is little reference from the inside, especially from the point of hearing at the backseats (baby/wife)
anyway, thanks for the advance.

Worst case, I'm sure someone else would swap with you if you ended up not liking them. I'm not lying... you can hear the difference inside... particularly since I have a cab, but it's not overwhelming or annoying as many cars I've heard.

Neither know the change was made... well, my 5yo son has taken to putting his ear against the interior padding next to the seat to "listen to the engine" but he is a total gear head.
In a 993 coupe I had a while back, my daughter would fall asleep back there. It is really mild around 3K RPMs and only really gets noticeably better under hard acceleration.
In my experience, kids are pretty adaptable and they actually like the rear engine sound. The "wife test" is much more stringent Mine drives our cab and enjoys it very much. Even in the cab it could not be described as "loud".
