Connecticut Father's Day Concours (***with pix!***)
There was a Car Show (Concours) in Norwalk CT, Sunday that *almost* didn’t take place due to the horrendous weather Sat. evening and ‘iffy conditions’ (fog/showers) early Sunday. (The owners of Cranbury Park did NOT want the grounds being ‘ripped up’.)
It was a 50+ mile (one way) hike from where we live on Long Island, but as I said to Janet “Aaaaah, sure what the heck, if it’s on – it’s on – and if it’s not – heck, we’ll have a Sunday drive and maybe check out Greenwich…”
So we hit the road (and the puddles! :-() …and arrived to find that it was on! There were over 130 cars on show with a VERY strong showing (approx. 20+) for ‘my group’ i.e. 1990--1999 cars. (Yikes!)
Took me an hour to get the blue bomber ‘back into shape’ – which apparently worked --- coz I came 3rd in ‘my group’. :-)
