No chance there's some batteries hidden in that little car?

LOL thats pretty cool. I'm guessing Pong, on a global basis, the "Arabs" have nothing to worry about any time soon.....or for quite some time if ever. 100+ years of petrol based vehicles isn't going to change in any quick time frame. 50 years? By then they'll probably own the world anyway (either them or an Asian country)

just my .000002 cents

Bruce,

That's a great question. My wife asked that too. A quick Google search yields:

Don't know if any of these are pure fiction.

Those are some pretty funny sites.

Back to the original video link, we are missing part if the story here. Bruce raised a good question... the power plant itself (that extracts hydrogen from the H2O) must be powered by something.

You usually don't get something for nothing in nature. The energy it required to extract the hydrogen would equal or exceed the energy output...
unless, of course... this is a magic car! Then....well, Cool!

From another news article:
Their new "Water Energy System (WES)," generates power by supplying water and air to the fuel and air electrodes using a proprietary technology called the Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA). The secret behind MEA is a special material that is capable of breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen through a chemical reaction. Not surprisingly, Genenpax has kept the exact details of their technology under wraps, but they did say that their new process, while based on existing technology, is expected to produce hydrogen from water for longer time than any method currently available. .

It would allegedly take $18K to produce the "engine" but they hope to get it down to $4600.
Standing by....

If I remember right from High school science, from a battery, the negative side will produce either hydrogen or oxygen and positive side will produce the opposite. Basically breaking apart the Hydrogen from the oxygen in the H2O. It is pretty cool to watch. So a simple positive and/or a negative charge to water will produce the hydrogen. I would think batteries would convert the water to Hydrogen.

Pong,

I'd paint over the logo on the side of the coptor before I started flying it around. And remember a clear bra for the blades. They can really take a beating.

Hope you are well,
chuck

Chuck,

Life is good. Very busy at work. For an architect working for a home builder, that's great news. I just read that Memphis will raise their property tax in these slow times. Hope it is not too painful.

Please have a great Father's Day coming up. And I KNOW you are a great dad.
