Default Mechanic in Glendale, CA?

Anyone know of anywhere I can take my car to in or around Glendale, CA? I was hoping to also find somewhere that works on Saturdays as well. I think I noticed the lower cover gaskets leaking and would rather have someone else replace the gasket for now. Thanks!

I work in glendale, and a good friend of mine told me about TRE,
located in Van Nuys, 818-909-92220.
I took my 95 cab there, and they are just great...

You are lucky, there are good places near Glendale.

Scientific Automotive in Pasadena 626.795.7018. Family has been going there since the 1960's. Current owner, Jack, is excellent but a little "artistic" i.e. a little slow and expensive. He stands behind his work.

StuttCar Service in Pasadena 626.321.2736 Started by former Scientific mechanic Peter Facekas. Excellent service, Peter did the top end rebuild on the 993.

MAT in Pasadena, 626.398.9977 Owner Art is a PCA member and long time Mechanic.

I would use all three without reservation. Just call and or go see them and the one that clics use.

PM me for more information.

As a follow up, just had my oil changed by Peter and I will only be going back to him. Checked out my whole car, thankfully only the normal leaks and he suggest getting the aftermarket valve covers. Also showed me what he was doing when changing the oil and why it was bad to go to jiffy lube. I can't believe someone would take a Porsche to jiffy lube in the first place.

But his rates are extremely fair for any mechanic, he is familiar with the car, and is a really nice guy.

I have had problems with Scientific. Art and John of MAT have taken damn good care of my car and their staff is really great. Sometimes Art even does small things for me for free. Really great guys and Art has over 20 years of Porsche experience. I highly recommend them.

Haven't been there in a while but tell them Oshin says hello if you go there

I have heard that people have had trouble with Scientific. I have not but YMMV. I would take the car to any of the 3. It is a good thing that Pasadena has lots of good Porsche Mechanics.

I am more than happy that I have a choice of places to go locally that aren't in Beverly Hills direction.
