Very happy to come out of the closet as a new paid up RL member.
Many thanks to Pegasis 0066 for the kind offer of free amber turn signals in trade for me signing up. No excuse for lurking this long, just never got around to it.
Will post pics when I figure out how. Thanks for all the help over the years, I look foward to returning the favour or at least providing some good cheer.
Best,
Matt

Yup, a little German flair, straight off the paint sticker under the bonnet.
By way of introduction, I'm Matthew Lane, 34 years old, in Montreal (land of the Almighty Pothole).
I have been a 911 fan sine I was about 8 years old when I first got a ride in an uncle's 78SC, and later 86 930. My dad had a 924S for many years as well. I spent most of high school doing research and narrowing down what I wanted - and saving up from summer jobs.
I finally was able to buy my first car (a 911) in 1998, a really nice 1986 Targa pictured below. I bought it with 32,000 KM on the odometer and in perfect shape. Even then, I knew enough to know I did not want a Targa, but I could not resist the condition of this particular car. Learned how to drive stick properly, racked up some miles, and eventually sold it to a happy Rennlister in NH.
I waited long and looked hard before buying this 993 3 years ago. I bought it with 16K miles on it, it was relatively local, and it had the right combination of (thankfully, few) options in the colour and condition I was after. I specifically wanted a near perfect example, my only regret being that I could not have afforded to buy one when they were new, without a sunroof!
I started with the suspension, and did one DE weekend last year. This year, I am signed up for 3 DE's. I'm a beginner and I'll be the slow guy trailing the pack...
Lot's of long term mods and improvements planned, including a few this summer. Will update with photos as they come together.
Thanks for the kind welcome!
