My formal introduction
Hello all.
After lurking here as a "user" for almost a year, I finally made it official and became a member.
Anyway, my name is Philip. My Porsche is a Polar Silver 1996 C4S with 62K miles. I bought it about 3 1/2 years ago from my ex-girlfriend. At that time it had 35K miles. It is currently my daily driver and it shares garage space with my other beast, my 1964 Silver Mink Metallic Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster. I don't really have a "thing" for silver cars; they just both seem to have found me. I'm glad they did!
Since I started cruising Rennlist, you all have helped me spend lots of money on the slippery slope. Yes, I was warned, but it didn't help. Thus, my C4S now has PSS-10s, TRG sways, OEM MY02 Lightweight wheels, clear corner lenses, painted engine grill and I also changed to a silver Porsche hood crest and changed my "S" to match my red calipers.
I think I'm done with mods, though I may do LPMMs and a lightweight flywheel though I'm on the fence on that one. I hear it's great, but having never driven or been a car that has the LWF, I have reservations still.
Needless to say, this forum has taught me much, and I thank all of you who contribute your time and knowledge. I know, I know: pics. Here a two I took the other day. Enjoy and thanks for such a great community like Rennlist.

Drifting
Very nice car! Hanging around here can be dangerous as the slope steepens and the compulsion to commit to doing yet something else to the car besides normal maintenance.

Now that's a super nice 4S Philip. Welcome !!!
You've got the first widebody I've seen with lightweight MY02 spokes. I thought they were narrow body offsets only ??
Are you running spacers/adapters....if so, size ??

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I am running 32mm spacers in the rears only.

Polar silver 96 C4S? Excellent taste you have there. You have picked the best color (hides the dirt like a champ), the most reasonable priced year of C4S, and the most wonderful incarnation 4S.
Ok, I'm totally biased, like Nelson. Have you had the CEL issue yet? My light's been on for over 2-3 years now! It's the SAI. Still haven't had an emmissions letter yet. Not sure how they missed me...

And oh - welcome to the "slippery slope" - and nope, don't ask for a rope to hang on to as you dangle over the edge.. BTDT - the folks on this forum will let go - and cheer as you slip further down the slope
