Default Bridgestone Potenza RE 71 on 95 993

My rears are worn out, have these RE 71's all around. Came with the car when I bought it 3 years ago. I can still purchase these tires but not sure if I should. Been reading that these tires have a special sealing bead design for a Denloc system. As far as I know I have the stock cup wheels and not sure if these tires should even be on stock 993 wheels. Any body have some insight on this matter?

If you have RE-71s on, you need four new tires.

The good news is, you can get a set of Bridgestone tires that are three generations newer than the RE-71s, for just a bit more than the cost of two rear Denloc RE-71s: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=54YR7RE050APP

Thanks for your input RallyJon. Advantages to this tire is the run flat. Also, the fronts are virtually new so I would need just the rears. I guess I need to know a couple of things... can the re 71's actually be mounted on stock wheels and can I determine by looking at the tires a manufacture date. The mounting on stock wheels concerns me because I have read that these tires should only be fitted on Denloc designed wheels. RE 71's are still available to get so mine are not necessarily too old? Looking for a bit more info before I buy...
Thanks
