How Do I Adjust Front PSS9 Dampening

As Chris said, the adjuster is found at the bottom of the strut tubes but the adjuster does change both rebound and compression at the same time.

Question; I am new to the 993 world and have the PSS9s on my 95 I purchased in Feb. 2008. I was told that the rears could be adjusted by turning the **** counterclockwise (as you look straight on at the dial) for stiffer (1-4) and by reaching under the front shock..looking down from above the shock, turn the dial clockwise for stiffer. (i.e. if you are under the car looking up at the bottom of the front shock, turn the dial counterclockwise for stiffer).
Is this accurate?
Also, what recommendation, from those of you with experience, do you have for a street setting?... and should the rear be softer than the front or...?
Thanks!!!

Without looking under my car I can't speak to the clockwise, counter-clockwise reference. Just know that the harder settings are lower numbers. 1 is the stiffest and 9 is the softest. So regardless of which way you turn the dial 9 is the actual start point for least aggressive damping. When I was setting mine up experience told me to make the rears stiffer than the front. This was supported by the shop that modded the PSS9s for my early 964 fitment. He told me to start with the rears 2 clicks stiffer than the front. No matter which settings I have them on, I like to keep the 2 click spread in tact. It makes my car very neutral, throttle on or off in the apex of a turn. I have been very happy with the PSS9s. I previously had Bilstein HDs and B&G springs and it plowed like a FWD car. I now have way more capability in the car than I have skill to exploit.

Thanks Chris....When you say, "Front is CCW for stiffer", you mean that when you are under the car looking up at the bottom of the front shock, turn the dial CCW for stiffer...correct?

Just like if it were a bolt you were removing. CCW looking at the adjuster, or looking upwards.
