Is it true that when pronouncing Prius, the "r" is silent?

The 993 IS the most fuel efficient vehicle that I have on the road ! I only have a short commute, but I have definitely started to drive the 993 more since driving the diesel pickup sure doesn't make sense. (Wow - the displays on those pumps go up to some big numbers like...... $ 123 the other day and it wasn't even empty.....)
Next week, I'll use the diesel to haul the car trailer and RSA to the track ! The RSA gets about 8 MPG over-all during the DE events.....

My 993 is burning no fossil fuels today but tonight begins the vertical journey up onto jackstands when I begin my first DIY oil & filters change / sparkplugs / cap & rotor change.
As an M/E Energy Engineer I have have no guilt for passing every Prius on the road today driving my TDI although I may received more 1 finger salutes that I dutifully ignored.

Default It's red, not green

I don't celebrate Lenin's birthday. But if I did, I'd do so in my 993.

Me too... I've been driving it more than I planned as my Grand Cherokee barely gets 14 MPG. I drove it today, but a thunderstorm rolled through town with some small hail before I was able to leave work... 1st time having the C4 in the rain and it was pretty damned sweet.

Luckily it doesn't appear the hail did any damage... will not know for sure until the next detail.

I kept the tach above 5K this evening. The carbon footprint in my SAI ports may be reduced a bit...does that count?

I ran over some spotted owls and a couple of baby seals today in my 993, which has the cats removed. I wanted to run over Al Gore, but I didn't see him.

I drove me 993 and Explorer today. Drove the 993 to an appointment and took the SUV to Park City to visit a friend who was renting one of my properties. I drove the SUV to Park City because I bought a new patio table that wouldnt fit in my most economic vehicle--the 993. We drank Canadian Whiskey that a previous guest from Canada left behind and then drove in 2 seperate SUVs to Red Rock Brewery for dinner about 1 mile away.

If I had been driving a Prius, I wouldnt have changed a thing today.
