Ahh, reminds me of my first baby, a blue 1973 Karmann Ghia with Weber carbs. If I'd only had a 993 engine to put in it. I would have gotten all the chicks in high school.

I like it too.. I think the Karmann is a nice looking car. Don't know how well it would perform... and honestly I wouldn't care it's just nice to look at.

I saw a Karmann Ghia with an older 911 motor shoe-horned in it at Import Carlisle about 10 years
ago. As for the Ghia in the video, I think it could use a few more cooling louvers on the rear deck!

As someone who was born in Germany just after the war and immigrated here while still in "lederhosen" the thing that really struck me is that the owner said it was a 993 modified to S specs and the biggest problem was keeping it under control. It was tested at 320 PS which is substantially more than HP. I had a 63 which I loved.
